FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When is the Mini Muster?

The Mini Muster is on February 16th 2025 from 9am, timing to be confirmed via our socials media pages. Returning teams in U8-U11 will generally not be required to attend muster days as new players will be added by the registrar to top up numbers if needed.

How will I know what team my child will be in?

You will find out your child’s team assignment at the Mini Muster on February 16th 2025 from 9am, exact timing to be confirmed via social media.

When does registrations close?

Registrations close on February 2nd 2025 or possibly earlier if age groups fill up. Please be aware there is a limited number of teams we can field each season.  Places fill fast so don’t miss out by completing registration as soon as possible.

Can I use my Active Kids Vouchers?

Yes, If applicable, claim your Active Kids Voucher here before proceeding with registration, not accepted after. We can only accept one voucher for registration.

Do you offer Payment Plans?

In 2025 we unfortunately can no longer offer payment plans. We no longer have the resources to administer them, all payments are up front in full.

When will my registration be confirmed?

Your registration will be confirmed approximately 1-2 weeks after registration closes on February 2nd 2025. If your registration is on pending status, we are still working out teams, this takes time to get right. If you are U6/7 and are not in a team you need to attend the muster day before teams can be finalised.

What times are the games?

SSG (Mini Roos) & Junior games are played on a Saturday, with game times and locations varying. The time of games will depend on the field availability at the ground which you are playing and are generally between approximately 9am to 1pm, however, they can begin as early as 8.30am and run until as late as 3-4pm.

Senior Games, U16 & U18 Girls, M-League, and Ladies games are played on a Sunday, anywhere between 9am and 5pm.

When does the season start?

The season starts on the first weekend in April.

What is the Junior grading process?

Junior grading commences from U12’s, most teams have already been allocated for the 2025 season. Grading is held in November/December the year prior with announcements made via our social media pages. No grading is required for teams from U6 to U11. View our grading policy here.

2025 Grading Information

Grading will be conducted at Belgenny Reserve if required.  The grading committee will make contact by email to advise of grading requirements.

Exact times for specific age groups and locations will be confirmed via our facebook page as soon as possible.

  • All players must have a current financial registration before attending grading.
  • All players must have boots and shin pads for grading.
  • Please download and read the Camden Falcons Grading Policy.  Players will NOT be placed into teams based on coach or peer preference.

What is the youngest age that my child can join?

5 years old is the youngest. Your child must be turning 5 in 2025.

Can my child play up?

This season you can only register in your age group. If you want to play up an age group register in your actual age group, then please email registrations@camdenfalcons.com.au and advise reason and team involved.

I want my child in the same team as last year or with a friend. What should I do?

If you want your child to be in the same team as last year or with a friend, we make every effort to place children into teams of their choosing, however not always possible. Please make sure to include relevant notes when registering your child. For senior teams, players are selected by grading process.

Who assigns a coach and manager?

Camden Falcon’s Football Club is run by volunteers and each team will be asked to provide a Coach and Manager from a parent/s or carer from the team.

What will I need to buy for my child or myself to play?

The club will provide jerseys for the season for U6 – U12. Junior and senior players must purchase a sublimated personalised Stanno Match shirt (existing players will not be expected to purchase a new shirt every year, only when required.) The club’s shorts ($25) and socks ($15) must be worn and are available for purchase online or through the club. Uniform days will be advertised closer to the season opener on social media. All players MUST be in the correct attire or risk being removed from the field or unable to play. Shin pads and football boots must be worn and available at most sport stores.

From 2025 we will no longer have a training shirt available from our sponsors.

What about training?

Training days and times are organised by the coaches and parents. Every team trains at least once a week for approximately an hour at Belgenny Reserve or Nugget Beams Reserve. Junior division 1 and senior teams may train twice a week. It is the aim of every team for the training day to be held at a time that suits the coach as well as all the players. Your team coach & manager will help the team organise a training day and time. Once the grounds are available for our use, your coach or manager will make contact to inform the team when training will begin. This is usually around the beginning of March each year.

How many players on the field?

  • Under 6’s and 7’s there are 4 v 4
  • Under 8’s and 9’s play 7 v 7
  • Under 10’s and 11’s play 9 v 9
  • Under 12’s + play 11 v 11

Can I volunteer?

Yes, we can’t run without the support of our community volunteers. Each week we require officials to oversee the game day operations and other club tasks if you feel you can assist, please reach out in our contact us page.

Tell me about Game Days?

Most teams play Saturday’s one week at home and the following week at an opposing team’s home ground. Teams usually arrive 15-30 minutes prior to kick off to warm up and get ready for the game.

What happens with wet weather?

Games may still proceed in wet weather if grounds are not closed. Play will stop if there are active storms in accordance to football Australia policy. Please keep an eye on our social media after or during wet weather to receive up to date information on ground/game status.

If Belgenny Reserve is open after heavy rain, please avoid training in the goal mouths or any muddy areas to prevent damage to the fields. Your cooperation helps preserve our grounds for everyone.
