End of Year Wrap Up

End of Year Wrap Up

What a Year It’s Been: 2025 at Camden Falcons FC

As we wrap up the 2025 season, I want to take a moment to reflect on what has been another incredible year for Camden Falcons Football Club. From the sidelines to the canteen, from training nights to finals, this season has once again highlighted what makes our club so special — community, connection and a shared love of the game.
One of the highlights of our year was celebrating Female Football Week, recognising and championing the growing number of women and girls who proudly wear the Falcons colours. In April, Camden Falcons FC was also named Football NSW’s Club Changer of the Month, recognising our ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive, positive and welcoming football environment.
Throughout the season, we continued to focus on education through our social media channels, sharing helpful information to support players, parents, coaches and volunteers, and ensuring everyone felt informed, confident and included. Just as importantly, we took the time to celebrate and thank the wonderful volunteers who keep our club running week in and week out. Their dedication never goes unnoticed, and we were especially proud to see two of our own, Shane Gray and Penny Coman, recognised with Macarthur Football Association Appreciation Awards — a well-deserved acknowledgement of their outstanding service to our club and the wider football community.
The 2025 winter competition kicked off with 757 registered players across 64 teams — including 44 MiniRoos teams, 11 junior teams, 9 senior teams and 1 M-League team. Our Falcons shone both on and off the field, with six junior and senior teams reaching Grand Finals. We celebrated fantastic success from our All Age Women Div 2 team, crowned Premiers and Champions, and our All Age Men Div 8 team, who finished as Premiers and Runners Up. We also saw strong performances across the club from our U12 MYL Girls, U13 Div 3 Boys, U14 Div 2 Girls, U14 Div 4 Boys, U17 MYL Boys, U17 Div 2 Boys and Over 35 Div 2 teams — a true credit to our players, coaches and managers.
We wrapped up the winter season with memorable end-of-season celebrations. Our U5 to U14 players enjoyed medal presentations, sausage sizzles, lolly bags and plenty of sports fun, thanks to Motiva8 Sport and the Macarthur Bulls coaches. Our U15+ players finished the season with a relaxed night full of laughs, Pizza Boys pizzas, drinks and, of course, a few competitive kicks — with the speed gun making a popular appearance.
Our Summer Football Competition once again proved to be a huge success. Run over 11 weeks during the off-season, Wednesday nights came alive with 116 teams and close to 1,000 players taking to the fields, creating a fun, family-friendly atmosphere that has become a favourite on our club calendar. A huge thank you must also go to Little Busy Bean for fuelling our Falcons throughout the season and into Summer Football. Your support takes the pressure off our volunteers and families and allows everyone to focus on enjoying game day.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to welcome Brendan Sammut to Camden Falcons FC. Brendan brings a wealth of experience and passion and will play an important role in supporting the continued growth of our elite grassroots pathways, particularly within M-League Colts, while also assisting MYL coaches in developing strong junior pathways into M-League football.
I’d also like to sincerely thank our outgoing committee members for their time, dedication and service, and warmly welcome our 2026 committee:

A reminder that registrations for the 2026 season open January 1st 2026.
On behalf of the Camden Falcons Football Club, I wish you all a happy New Year. Thank you for being part of our Falcons family.

Cindy Fielder
