Two Falcons Honoured with MFA Appreciation Awards
Every great club is built on the efforts of passionate volunteers — the people who give their time, energy and heart to make sure everything runs smoothly week in, week out.
At Camden Falcons FC, we’re lucky to have so many incredible people who do just that — and this year, two of them have been recognised with Macarthur Football Association Appreciation Awards.
These awards formally recognise individuals who have provided consistent and valuable service to their club over many years — people who are the true backbone of community football.
Shane Gray
Shane has been a dedicated and passionate member of Camden Falcons since the age of 8. His love for the club runs deep, and it’s a legacy he proudly shares with his children who now wear the Falcons jersey with pride.
Whether he’s coaching, assisting, or stepping up as a Ground Official — throughout the year — Shane is always willing to lend a hand. His commitment extends beyond the sidelines too; he continues to play in the Over 35s, embodying the spirit of lifelong participation.
Shane’s loyalty, passion and tireless contributions make him a cornerstone of the Falcons community. His efforts are truly valued and appreciated by everyone who’s had the privilege of working alongside him.
Penny Coman
Penny has been a reliable and enthusiastic volunteer with Camden Falcons for more than five years, taking on a variety of roles that help keep the club running smoothly. Her consistent presence on Saturdays — and throughout the summer season — reflects her genuine commitment to the Falcons family.
Whether it’s sorting bibs and equipment, helping at Presentation Day, or jumping in wherever support is needed, Penny’s “will do” attitude and quiet dedication make her an invaluable part of our club. While some of her work happens behind the scenes, her impact is seen and felt by all who know her.
You’ve probably come across both Shane and Penny at some point during year — out on the fields, in the canteen, or helping behind the scenes. Their efforts (and those of all our volunteers!) are what make Camden Falcons such a special club.
